French presidency of the EU. The presentation of the French presidency-in-office's plans continues this week, before almost all Parliament's committees (Monday-Thursday).
Terrorism. The Civil Liberties Committee votes on a report on making incitement to terrorism a criminal offence and on another, related, report on the protection of personal data as part of judicial cooperation (Tuesday).
Air pollution. A regulation imposing stricter rules on new motor vehicles will be put to the vote at the Environment Committee (Tuesday).
Gender equality. Male-female equality is the subject of a report to be put to the vote at the Women's Rights Committee (Wednesday).
Zimbabwe. Hebson Makuvise, spokesperson in Europe for the Movement for Democratic Change, will address the Development Committee (Tuesday).
Immigration. The subject of penalties for employers of illegal immigrants will be discussed at a Civil Liberties Committee hearing (Wednesday).
Budget. EP and Council delegations will hold a conciliation meeting with a view to reaching a preliminary agreement on the 2009 budget (Thursday).
Structural funds. A hearing at the Regional Development Committee will examine how effective the EU's structural funds are. Meanwhile Regional Policy Commissioner Danuta Hübner will discuss the follow-up to the 2006 budget discharge at the Budgetary Control Committee (Tuesday).
