EVERTON FC: JOHNSON STARTS

/noticias.info/ Andrew Johnson is set to start in Everton’s friendly with Cambridge United.

The striker returns to the line-up having not featured in the Blues’ pre-season tour of Switzerland due to a calf strain.

The match, which is being screened live and exclusive on evertonTV (click here for details) is the first pre-season fixture on English soil for David Moyes' men.

Other good news for Everton fans is the naming of Mikel Arteta on the bench.

It was hinted that the Spanish midfielder will be named as a substitute during the week and it has now been confirmed – with David Moyes suggesting he could get on the pitch towards the end of the game.

John Ruddy is set to start in goal for the Blues, with Joleon Lescott, Phil Jagielka and Nuno Valente lining up in defence.

A number of youngsters have also been named in the side including Eunan O’Kane, John Irving, Jack Rodwell and Lukas Jutkiewicz.
