BEIJING 2008:Practice makes perfect for Olympic victory ceremony volunteers
/noticias.info/ On July 11, Olympic victory ceremony volunteers were busy practicing their little hearts out at the Laoshan Velodrome, the Laoshan Bicycle Moto Cross (BMX) Venue and the Laoshan Mountain Bike Course in Beijing.
Olympic awards ceremonies are among the most anticipated scenes in the world, thus, the standards that Olympic victory ceremony volunteers have to meet are quite high. They have specific regulations detailing how they are to present themselves, as their posture and way they smile, bow, raise the flag, and present awards and flowers will be watched by eyes all over the world.
Every movement has been studied and then practiced over and over again by the volunteers to ensure a flawless performance for every occasion they will be sharing the spotlight. This is a necessity for especially those girls who must stride with confidence over the variously textured floors of the Laoshan cycling sites.
Working tirelessly, the volunteers perform drill after drill, executing graceful movements under sweltering temperatures of over 30 degrees Celsius while navigating complicated ground.
Though this is hard work for the volunteers, they know that only by using this strict method of training will they be able to discover any mistakes. After every practice round, leaders would point out any problems, and in this way, volunteers are able to correct their errors and perfect their form before the Olympic Games. notas_de_prensa_archivo
