INTER: Cambiasso:"Mourinho always wants to win"

/noticias.info/ Esteban Cambiasso ,you always keep in mind what you have been in the past and in the present. You said that you are grateful to Roberto Mancini. What is your first impression of Josè Mourinho?

"It is too early to speak about Mourinho and to compare him to Roberto Mancini, this kind of judgement has to be done much further from now. As i said in the previous days, I thank Mancini for all he has done for Inter and for us. We will try to learn as much as possible from the new trainer.

Do you like this new kind of training sessions that let you work more with the ball? You feel less the hard work. It looks like you all started this new adventure with a lot of enthusiasm.

"These kinds of training sessions, different from the traditional ones, are indeed totally new to us. The training sessions seem to pass faster. However, legs feel the hard-work . It would be a mistake to think that we are not training hard. The supporters attend the training sessions with more interest .

Mourinho is a perfectionist. Cambiasso looks to pay attention to every singular detail on the field as the coach.

"To be perfectionist is one of his caracteristic and his way of working. I hope it will benefit all the team. What the coach said these days is the philosophy of all the squad, but to win is always the most important thing."

Last season you played in a different way from the previous years. You were often attacking , scoring several times. Would you mind if the trainer would ask you to play more defensively?

"We still did not talk about the role of each player . I will always do what Mourinho asks me to do. Mourinho's mentality is to always attack and try to win every game. I scored in matches where Inter was losing or drawing. When we were winning, you hardly saw me attacking. I try to attack only when it is needed."

At the beginning of each season, the target of the team is usually to win everything possible. Would you rather win the Champions League rather than the league ?

"We want to win everything, this is the philosophy of all the most important teams. As a matter of fact, Inter has qualified four times to the Italian Cup final in the last years. It is true that we have been more lucky in the league rather than in the Champions League, but the important was to win in at least one of these competitions.

Francesco Totti, in his last interview, said that he predicts Roma to end-up fourth. Do you still feel that you will win again?

At the moment, we are still the champions, but when the season will start again, we will all be at the same level. These kind of valuations are better to be done at the end of the season.

Mourinho said in the last press conference that a midfielder is needed. In particular one like Lampard. Do you feel this necessity like a stimulus to improve yourself to show the coach that the midfield does not require anyone else? Or would you like to have Lampard as your teammate?

When I work I do not think of these things. We always try to give the best whether a new player might come or not. We do not need anymore stimulus, because wearing this shirt is always an honour and a big responsability. I do not like to speak about players' transfers until they are not official on Inter's web site.

Last season, you ended-up injured. How is your recover going?

I feel some pain to the ankle, but i can still train well , and this is already important for me. With the help of the physiotherapists I will be ready for the first game of the new season. notas_de_prensa_archivo
