TIM'S DIARY - SUNDAY
/noticias.info/ Welcome to my diary of Everton's pre-season tour to my homeland, the United States of America.
I don't know a lot about Chicago but it's good to be here and I'm looking forward to the next few days.
Today was pretty low-key. When I wasn't training with Chris Woods I just laid around in bed. I think that's what this pre-season is going to be about for me.
When I'm up for it I'll be heading out to see the sights and do some shopping, as the shops here in Chicago are top notch. But I'll also be trying to get as much rest as possible.
It's great to see the lads again. I didn't come on the plane from Heathrow as I was in my home town, Memphis, and made the flight down from there.
I wanted to get here and get settled before the rest of the team, so I arrived early on Saturday afternoon and was here to welcome them all when they pulled up in the bus.
Catching up with boys is always fun. Everyone's saying it's good to be back together again and we're all talking about what we can achieve this season. They're a great group of guys to be around - there are no jerks but plenty of jokers!
The toughest part of pre-season though is getting back to training and this morning was hard. You need to have that down time, that break after the season, but once you get up and running again it's just that much harder to get momentum.
But I prefer it that way. I don't want a few days to get into it and then have a hard session. I'd rather just get straight into the tough stuff.
Luckily there's no danger of it being any other way, not with Woodsy around!
I've got my ipod on now and I'm heading to bed. Tomorrow's going to be another tough day so I'll be needing all the rest I can get.
See you again soon. notas_de_prensa_archivo
