GOLF: PGA: Kim eyes chance to impress

PGA Tour young gun Anthony Kim is looking to take advantage of the absence of Tiger Woods by making his mark as the world number one sits out the rest of the year.

Kim, in his second year on tour, has made something of a name for himself already in 2008 with six top-10 finishes including two victories, at the Wachovia in May and the AT&T National earlier this month.

He said: "Now that Tiger is not playing it gives us a little bit more of a chance and I think everybody is trying to seize the opportunity,"

Kim added: "It's a great opportunity for us to make a name for ourselves and definitely stamp our name in the golf world.

"Obviously that was one of our goals when we stepped out here in the PGA Tour as rookies." notas_de_prensa_archivo
