EVERTON FC: MOYES: AJ WANTED TO GO
/noticias.info/ Everton boss David Moyes says Andrew Johnson wanted to leave the Club.
The striker is in talks with Fulham over a possible move after the Toffees accepted an eight-figure bid on Monday.
“Why did I sell AJ? It was AJ’s choice,” said Moyes. “He decided that he wanted to move on.”
The Goodison chief insists he has been given funds to spend on improving the squad - he is simply biding his time in search of the right players.
“There is money to spend,” said Moyes. “I’m not going to accept second best and I want to get the best players in.
“I’m expecting to play over 60 games next year. I’m expecting to get to Cup finals, I’m expecting to have a long run in the UEFA Cup and I’m expecting to do well in the League. So, I’m going to need lots of cover and lots of players.” notas_de_prensa_archivo
