Düsseldorf, 4. August 2005. The start of the new Bundesliga season coincides with the launch of a new and entertaining football highlight for UMTS phone users! Vodafone is kicking off the season with a fantastic new service. The Bundesliga Show on Mobile TV is a new football show in 25-minute format on Saturdays at 6.15 pm that will present information, analyses and interviews on the day's matches. The familiar and popular MMS Information Service has also been extended and optimised. It has been supplemented with football content, interactive elements have been added and the range of moving images for UMTS phones has been considerably extended. There is now a central 'Bundesliga Special' section on Vodafone live! portal to provide an overview of the services.

Mobile TV: always up close to the action
Football fans who aren't able to follow the match on TV or radio can simply switch on their UMTS phone and dial into the Mobile TV football channel to save their football Saturday. The Bundesliga Show at 6.15 pm broadcasts detailed reports on the day's football news. Footage of all matches, match highlights, player profiles and the short 'Formcheck' report on the national team's players' form presented by Tobi Schlegl keeps football fans bang up to date. Another new feature is the match statistics that are superimposed over the TV images to provide an overview of play. Customers who don't have a UMTS phone and aren't able to use the Mobile TV service can watch the reports in video clip format.

Video MMS and MMS Information Services
Couldn't get a stadium ticket? Never mind! With Video MMS, you can watch the goals on your phone's display and discuss them with other fans. If you prefer short and concise information, you can watch a 'goal of the day' video on your phone display. The popular MMS Information Services ensure that Vodafone customers never miss a goal. There are several options available to them, such as "My Club live!", with the match highlights of a specific club or "Bundesliga compact", which provides a summary of all matches and goals of the day. Not only are the customary detailed match results and league table overviews superimposed over the MMS Information Service at the end of the day, but also at half-time and at the end of the match. They include information about ball possession, successful tackles, corners, goal opportunities, card offences and send-offs. The MMS service also has a 'match of the day' for the second Bundesliga.

Customers who want to subscribe to the MMS Information Service simply send a text message with the keyword "BLTOTAL" to the short number 33 33. Football fans who book the MMS package pay a flat-rate of EUR 5 for up to 32 MMS messages instead of the standard rate of EUR 0.39 per MMS message.

A better overview on the Bundesliga Special section
The entire range of Bundesliga football services have now been included in a central section on the Vodafone live! portal. All football fans have to do is open the 'Bundesliga Special' section. It only takes a few clicks to reach the selected service, subscribe to a service or switch between links. Interactive advertisements are an added bonus for football fans. For example, whenever a goal is scored, the live ticker automatically superimposes the link to the MMS video of the goal.

This year's fan features for mobile phone users are an absolute must. Users can download club logos and football images as wallpaper, or choose from a selection of stadium and club anthems as ring tones. The football games are great fun to play. Subscribers can download mobile games at prices starting from EUR 1.66, and individual games are available starting at EUR 3.99. Two of the most sophisticated and exciting games are "2005 Real Football" and "FIFA 2005" at EUR 4.99 each.
